Social Media Marketing + SEO Consultant

Position:

We are seeking a Social Media & SEO Consultant to lead and enhance our online presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic social media campaigns, optimizing content for search engines, and increasing engagement across various digital platforms. This role requires creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of social media trends and SEO best practices.

Compensation: $35-$40/hour, commensurate with experience (remote)

Scope of Work: Per Project Basis 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in social media management and SEO optimization.
- Strong understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and SEO platforms.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging multimedia content (graphics, videos, etc.).
- Familiarity with community-based organizations and social justice initiatives is a plus,
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Manage and create compelling content for platforms such as Instagram, Blusky, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Optimize website content and blog posts for SEO to improve search rankings.
- Conduct keyword research and track analytics to refine strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to develop campaigns that align with The Circle Keepers’ mission and values.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in social media, digital marketing, and SEO.
- Collaborate with Youth creators and board members to create a webshop that will serve as a platform to offer merchandise, resources, and other products that support our initiatives and community.

The Benefits:

The part time Social Media & SEO Consultant is a part-time independent contractor and not an employee of the Organization. They are responsible for their own tax withholdings and will be provided W9 and 1099 forms. There are no benefits associated with this position.

Part Time Activist Music Education Teaching Artist

Position:

The Circle Keepers seek a passionate and experienced Music Teaching Artist to facilitate social justice-based music classes and workshops during school hours (8:30am-3:30pm) and during after school hours (3pm-6pm). The ideal candidate will have experience in artivism (art + activism), teaching beatmaking using Soundtrap, teaching popular music ensembles, and singing, with a strong commitment to using music as a tool for social justice, naming + dismantling institutional oppressions and building safe, loving and joyful new worlds simultaneously, in the spirit of abolition.

As a Music Teaching Artist, you will work directly with youth, guiding them to develop their musical skills while fostering critical thinking, self-expression, and community engagement. For the 2025 school year, you will co-teach most classes alongside the director of education, while teaching some classes alone.

Compensation:
$75 per two-hour session (co-taught)
$100 per two-hour session (taught alone)

Job Type: Part-Time, Contract
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, (afterschool) Lower Manhattan (in school)

Qualifications:

- Fingerprint for teaching in NYC Public Schools.
- 3 or more years of experience working with diverse populations as a music educator in school-based settings, or community nonprofit arts in education organizations.
- Proficiency with Soundtrap for beatmaking and music production.
- Strong vocal and instrumental skills, with experience in popular music genres.
= Demonstrated ability to facilitate conversations about social justice and artivism

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience performing or producing popular music genres (hip-hop, R&B, pop, etc.).
- Background in community organizing or social justice advocacy.
- Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching practices.

Part Time Organizational Assistant

Position:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Organizational Assistant to support our leadership team of one adult executive director and three youth directors with administrative and operational tasks that keep our organization running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organizational skills, an honest and clear communication style, and a deep commitment to our mission.

Compensation: $25 per hour (in-person).

Scope of Work: 10 hours a week

Schedule: Tuesdays 3pm-6pm in downtown Brooklyn and Fridays 10:30am-12:30pm in Prospect Heights (school based) for programming support.  Saturdays from 10am-3pm in Midtown Manhattan for Organizational Support. *This schedule is not flexible, due to our programming.

Responsibilities:

- Document Management: Organize and maintain important files, reports, and records for easy acces

Email Support: Manage inboxes, respond to general inquiries, and ensure timely follow-ups.

Google Drive Organization: Maintain structured and efficient Google Drive folders for team collaboration.

Scheduling & Coordination: Set up meetings, manage calendars, and send reminders.

General Administrative Support: Assist with research, data entry, drafting documents, and other tasks to support
nonprofit operations.

Program Support: Assist with delivering materials, snacks, and logistical support during programming and events.

Qualifications:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail)
- Proficiency in Canva, Video Editing and content creation a plus!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in nonprofit administration.

- Lead popular music ensembles and singing workshops, encouraging collaboration and creative expression using the curriculum provided (lesson plans and slide decks).
- Integrate artivism concepts, helping students understand and practice the intersection of art and activism.
- Cultivate an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Document student progress via photos and videos, take daily attendance and provide feedback to participants and stakeholders.
